Flexing their muscles
Halloween this year was so fun. Sam wanted to keep going and going!!! He loved getting free candy and going door to door. Savannah liked it for a minute then got bored. They did love the candy and the dressing up!
November went by so fast this year. Thanksgiving was good we went to Ben's side and had delicious turkey and the works. Of course my kids ate none of it, Sam ate some pizza pocket bite things. Very sad. Life hasn't been too crazy.
Sam is addicted to the wii and if I let him would play all day, I'm not even exaggerating. I find that on the days he does play the wii he is a monster, won't do what I ask him too throws tantrums and pouts. It is ridiculous so we are trying to crack down on that. On another note he is my sweet boy. He tells me like ten times a day how much he loves me, just out of no where "mom I love you so so much". He loves to cuddle with me and give me random hugs. Ben's mom says that he was the sweetest boy until like 11 or 12. I hope Sam doesn't stop I love it. He has gotten some anxieties lately about going place without mom. He used to love preschool (and he still does once he is there) and now I have to bribe him most of the time to go. He doesn't want to go to friend's houses he wants them to come to ours. He still has serious anxieties about eating. Getting him to try new things is horrible and half the time we go to someones house to eat he tells me over and over that he's not starving, or he wants to go home or he doesn't feel good. I don't know what to do with the guy. At least he will eat veggies and fruits.
Savannah is getting the terrible 2's early!! She is just trouble but man is she so cute!!! She is still my little girl and things she is priority over everyone. She is very into babies right now and carries them everywhere. She loves her cousin Corbin and screams and hugs him tight if you try to take him away from her. Her new thing is to sing rock a bye baby. For some reason she is hooked on that song. The other day she just kept spinning in circles singing it. She also put on a skirt the other day and started singing I'm a princess. She is my girl that is good at playing by herself. I love that she will go in her room or downstairs and just play. Sam has to have someone there entertaining him and it drives me nuts!!! Savannah has started copying her brother on if she will eat something or how she throws a tantrum. She loves her brother and at night when he has already fallen asleep she will still sit and talk to him until she falls asleep. There are times when she wakes up in the morning and says "brother wake up". I love to just watch her play. Sometimes I feel like I just can't get enough of my crazy kids.

Disneyland!!!!

So Katrina and Scott along with Cindy and Julia were planning a trip to Disneyland for 2 days. Ben had been working in Cali for the new store they are opening up and decided we should join!! It was so fun. I am glad they were OK with us joining along. Darrel also ended up coming. Ben, Julia, I, and the kids flew, the others drove. We got there on a Sunday and stayed in rooms that were right next to each other and went to cheesecake factory for dinner (thanks to Scott for watching the kids). The next day we were up bright and early for Disneyland!!! It started out sprinkling or misting in the morning with moments that it would stop. But we went on peter pan first and Sam did ok, the pirates scared him a bit. Snow white terrified Sam and Savannah. I never realized how scary a lot of the rides at Disneyland are. The kids loved Dumbo and the merry go round. Julia was our runner and would go get fast passes to the long rides. It turned out to make the days go by so smooth. We ended up stuffing Sam's shoes so he was tall enough for some of the rides like splash mountain which he ended up loving even though he got really wet. Pirates was scary so was the haunted mansion but buzz was his favorite ride. The haunted mansion was decorated for "The nightmare before Christmas". It was so cute I loved it!! We were able to go on all the rides we wanted to that day which was great. Day 2 it started off sunny just to give us false hope. It poured most of the day and at one point it was torrential downpour. We did happen to be in California adventures so there were some rides we could go on. They have this playhouse Disney place where you go in and watch a show that the kids can get involved in. My kids loved it. There is also this little bugs life area with little kids ride that were perfect for Sam. We ended up at Disneyland sooner that we thought because of the rain but it was still great. Kat, Scott, Ben and I left at 6 with the kids to get them out of the rain and enjoyed a night in at the hotel. I had Julia for the airplane ride home thank goodness. At one point the kids were sitting next to Julia and I could not keep my eyes open. You know that point were it is futile to try to resist? yeah Julia saved me. The kids did really good on the trip and Sam still talks about going to California.

Wheeler farm

We went to wheeler farm with Ali and Kim. It was nice to get out and enjoy the nature and be amongst great company. We had lunch and then saw some animals. My favorite part of the day was when a group of chickens with a rooster was on the path and Boston and Sam kept chasing them and I kept telling them to be careful they might get bit. Sam then tells me that if they do he will bite them and then eat them. I was laughing so hard. I love little kids and that little boy melts my heart!!!!! Also we went to the fair when it was in town and I only got one picture which happens to be Sam and Hannah together, dating early!! It was really fun to be with our friends and enjoy the good ole fair.

Amazing race

The bonus: building a house out of cards

Julia with gum

Really gross!

The fishy stuff
the 12 choices!!
random people kissing
A certain type of wood
Some exercising on the parkway

For Scott's 30th birthday Katrina put together an amazing race! There were 7 teams I believe and it was one of the most fun nights I have had. On my team was Ben, Julia and Julie Smith. We rocked! It took 4 hours to complete and we were right on time. There is so much detail and planning that went into this night that I give big props to my awesome sister in law! One of the things you had to find was a 7 eleven that had ten choices of Slurpee. That one was hard and by the middle Katrina changed it to 8 but my group (thanks to Ali) found a 7 eleven with 12 choices. Yes 12. In bountiful. Some members had to eat fish stuff I don't remember what it was right now, but thankfully Julie and Ben did that one. Julia and I had to put a whole crap load of dubble bubble (the different flavored kind:() in our mouth and chew. IT was horrible i kept on gagging trying to finish this!!! This night made me want to go on the amazing race even more than I already want to!!!

Grandparents day!!!

Ben's parents

My mom and dad

Ok like a month ago it was grandparents day so the kids decorated some pictures and then took them to their grandparents!

The Zoo and fun

We went to the Zoo with our cousins and had so much fun. We were only there a couple of hours but had a blast. The tigers were really viewable this time which the kids loved.
The other pics are my kids fav place to bath my big bath! We do bubbles and it's like a small tub!!
And there are pic of my deck being taken down!!! It was little and wobbly and it is torn down and a lot has been put up but it is not finished yet. (It will have a slide)

Lake powell trip 2

It is so sad that I am just barely getting to lake powell but no one reads my blog except for me so it really is ok. Lake powell was so much fun this trip. Scott and Katrina came for the first part and it was so fun to have them finally come! (Scott's work keeps them from coming but we got more than half the time with them.) Savannah loved the water and always wanted to be in it, Sam loved the sand so they kept me busy. It was really hot his trip and the generator on the house boat wasn't working so the men jerry rigged a outside generator so we at least got one of the air conditioners working for a little bit each night. I started to get Sam used to swimming by himself in just his life jacket and by the last day he was brave enough to do it by himself!! I was so proud of him and feel like his swimming lessons paid off. This trip I was randomly more tired than usual so I didn't end up staying up at nights to play games which was sad for me. It is one of my favorite parts of the trip. I did get up wake surfing and I am super proud of myself. My whole body was sore but it was so worth it!! I love lake powell and can't wait until next year.
